I sought out Andrew because I was applying to a bunch of fancy schools, and was trying to push my quantitative score up to match my verbal score. I was hoping that working with Andrew would help me study more efficiently, and would also keep me honest. What a good decision!
The best thing about Andrew’s style is his impressive balance of intense organization and generally relaxed attitude. For me, a big part of learning the material was systematic, regular practice, and a big part of succeeding on the test was chilling out a little bit. Andrew handles both. He’s great at breaking down tricky concepts into simple, methodical steps, and was really great at making sure I practiced all and only the stuff that was hard for me. He’s also the most responsive person and his level of professionalism made me question whether it’s the MBA or the GMAT score that qualifies someone to run a business.
Hiring a private tutor is a pretty significant financial investment and I can’t really speak to whether it’s a good investment for everyone. It was for me. Over the course of about 12 hours of Skype sessions, I improved my score from a 700 (40Q 46V) on my first practice test, to a 780 on the real deal (50Q 51V) (past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results, etc.).

Atlantic GMAT was the best tutor service I could ask for. Not only do you get great 1-on-1 interaction, but they also hold weekly Q&A sessions for additional questions. It’s that much more bang for your buck.
Also, to have assignments laid out and materials provided is a remarkably helpful.
Through Atlantic GMAT, I improved greatly and got the 700+ score I was looking for.
Could not recommend Atlantic GMAT more.
